The front fascia of the new Audi Q7 SUV gets all-new refreshed hexagonal single-frame chrome grille along with newly designed headlamps available in 3-options – xenon, LEDs and matrix LED lamps, new arrow-shaped DRLs incorporated with turn signals and tweaked body coloured bumpers.

The only engine option available to customers is a 3.0-liter TDI unit in the 45 TDI variant, which produces 18 3kW (245.40 hp) and 600 Nm of peak torque between 1,500 to 3,000 rpm. Paired to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox, power is sent to all wheels via Audi’s Quattro AWD system.

The prime focus of the newly launched SUV is drastic weight reduction as the new gen Audi Q7 is 325kg lighter than the previous model because of extensive usage of lightweight, high-strength steel and aluminium.

The Audi Q7 will compete with rival luxury 7 seaters such as the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes GL and Land Rover Discovery. The company is expecting to enter local assembly next year and planning to bring this via the CBU route.
