Haj Committee of India Mobile App Launched: The latest application so as to facilitate all the news and updates related to the Haj Pilgrimage has been launched in India on 02nd January 2017. Along with all the updates related t the Haj, the interested pilgrims can also submit their applications for the pilgrimage and make all the payments online using this safest application. The Haj Committee of India Mobile App can be instantly downloaded from the Google Play Store and installed on your Android mobile phone.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs has just launched the Haj Committee of India Mobile App (HCoI). The latest application has been introduced by the name of the Haj Committee of India, which is a statutory body Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The committee makes arrangements for the Haj pilgrimage of Muslims in India.

During the launch of the Haj Committee of India Mobile App, Naqvi said, “The central government has been encouraging online applications to ensure a fair opportunity for the pilgrimage with complete transparency and comfort. For the first time, Haj application process is going to be digital”.

“Applying for Haj, inquiry, and information, news and updates and e-payment are the main features of this mobile app. Five adults and two infants can apply together as a group. A PDF copy of the form will go to the applicant’s email”, he added explaining about the Haj Committee of India Mobile App.

After applications, the applicants are, however, required to forward the copies of the needed documents to the respective state Haj Committees. The concerned union ministry has launched a trilingual website of Haj in the month of December last year. Of the total number of applications that were submitted last year for the Haj Pilgrimage, only 45,843 people had applied online which constitute 11 percent.

During the launch, the union minister said that there are efforts put in to make the whole online process simple so as to encourage more and more people to apply online for the Haj pilgrimage. The statistics for the year 2016 reveal that Maharashtra topped in online applications with a total fo 10,960 people applying online followed by Kerala with 9,257 online applications and Uttar Pradesh with 5,407 people applying online.
