New Delhi: A woman was booked under the case of attempt to murder after she has thrown her two-year-old son from the staircase of their residence in south-east Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area. She was accused of the doing by her husband. The child sustained minor head injuries and is being treated in Apollo Hospitals.

On January 24, the boy’s father, Nitin Gupta filed a complaint against his wife Sonu and also submitted a CCTV footage as a proof to the police which showed her throwing the child, Ashu down the stairs. Gupta, who runs a cosmetics shop in Sharma Marcket of Pul Prahladpur said that his wife Sonu had an argument with his parents during which she felt perturbed and started abusing them.
Police official said that on January 24, a PCR call came in around 6 pm in which a man said that a child had been thrown from the staircase of a house from the first floor. As soon as the news broke out, Police rushed to the place of incident. The man who made the call also said that there is a proof to prove the incident which is nothing but a CCTV video recording.
Women who allegedly thrown her child from stairs booked for attempt to murder
The video showed the women allegedly throwing her child from the staircase after an argument with her in-laws. The child was immediately admitted to the hospital who suffered some minor injuries on his face. Police have started their investigation in an angle if the couple was having marital issues because of the child. The police also said that it is not known yet as to what made her behave so aggressively with her own child.
Police are right now verifying the authenticity of the video recording produced by the accused husband and investigating whether these were regular fights or just a rare incident. The in-laws who agitated the woman are also being investigated by the police. The 2-year-old kid who suffered the injuries after being thrown from the staircase of the first floor is doing fine now.
