BHIM App Tops Google Play Store Top Charts: With every Indian citizen’s supportive hand on the revolutionary decision of demonetization, the Government has been introducing a number of latest ideas and best alternatives of reducing the flow of liquid cash in the society and encourage all the cashless or Digital transactions. In an attempt towards the cashless transactions, BHIM App has been introduced by the PM Narendra Modi on 30th of December which became very popular that it ranked first in the list of Google Play Store Top charts.
BHIM App for UPI Based Payments Tops Google Play Store Download Chart
BHIM App is a UPI-based application available for the Android mobile phone users for making easy cashless transactions. Within a couple of days after its official launch on 30thof December, the application has become popular in the country that it has ben witnessing a heavy traffic. The news that the app has been ranking first in the Google play listings reveal the citizen’s behaviour at welcoming the change in the country.
BHIM App was developed by National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) and it has now overtaken all the popular Android applications on Google Play Store such as WhatsApp, Facebook, MyJio and topped the list in terms of ranking and downloads.
Currently available in English and Hindi languages, BHIM App was named after Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The applications will be made available in all the other languages in a short span of time along with other advanced features. PM himself said during its launch at the Digi Dhan Mela in New Delhi that a fingerprint scanner for making transactions will also be introduced shortly.
We have already explained the details process of installing the application and the process of making transactions in our earlier posts. There is a limit for making Rs. 10,000 per transaction and a maximum Rs. 20,000 per day using the BHIM App. For now, the larger transactions per day can be made by using the credit or debit cards or any other form of internet banking.
Transactions can be made using the BHIM App even to the non-UPI supported accounts by using the IFCS code and MMID. The list of banks that support this UPI-based application includes Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and others.
