The minor was rescued from an area near Humayun’s tomb yesterday where two persons who are involved in the trafficking of the girl were taken into custody.  The girl in October was traveling in a train in Chhattisgarh to visit her relatives, but mistakenly took a wrong train and reached Delhi. A senior police officer said, at a railway station, she met Arman, who was selling water bottles who took her to Sarai Kale Khan and raped her with the help of his wife Hasheena.

The accused couple later sold the girl for Rs 70,000 to Pappu Yadav so that he could marry her.  The police said ‘the minor lived in Faridabad for almost two months with Pappu who has physically and mentally abused her. She then somehow managed to leave his house and reached Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station where Hasheena met her and gave her a spiked drink.”
